Privacy Policy
Short version: no accounts, and no tracking or advertising on this website. Playing on your own keeps everything on your device. Playing online sends the display name you chose and your moves to the game server, and nothing else. The iOS app is paid for by advertising, and it asks you before anything about you is used to make those adverts personal.

Who is responsible
Tridge is run by Maurizio Mariani, who acts as data controller. You can reach him at privacy@tridgezone.net for anything on this page.
What is stored on your device
Everything below stays in your own browser or app and is never sent anywhere: your preferences, including your display name and the automatic roll (tz_settings); a game against the AI or between two people on the device, so it survives the app being closed (tz_game); which colour you play next against the AI (tz_next_colour); the last online room you were in (tz_last_room) and the key that lets you take your seat back there (tz_token_ followed by the room code). In the iOS app there is also a count of the games you have finished and of when an advert was last shown, which is what keeps the adverts paced (tz_ads), and how often and when you were asked to rate the app (tz_review). The website also keeps your language choice in a cookie (tz_locale).
Playing against the AI
The AI opponent runs inside the app itself. A game against it, or between two people on the same device, involves no server at all, and no information about it leaves your device.
Playing online
When you join a room, the display name you chose and the moves you make are sent to the game server so the game can work, and your opponent sees them. The server also rolls the dice and keeps the game in progress. Nothing else about you is collected: no email, no phone number, no account.
Connection data
The site and the game server are hosted on Cloudflare, which processes connection data such as IP addresses in order to deliver the service and protect it from abuse. Tridge does not store these addresses or use them for anything else.
Advertising in the iOS app
The iOS app shows a full-screen advert between games, when you start a new game after finishing one against the AI or on the same device: never during a game, and never in online play. The adverts are supplied by Google AdMob. This website carries none. To serve them, Google receives your device's advertising identifier together with technical data such as the device type, approximate location and IP address, and may use it to build an advertising profile. Before any of that is used to make the adverts personal you are asked: through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, and in Europe and the United Kingdom through a consent form. Refuse and the adverts still appear, but stop being personalised. You can change your answer whenever you like: in the iOS Settings under Privacy & Security, Tracking, and, where the consent form applies, from the Ad privacy options item in the app's menu. What Google does with that data is governed by its own terms: see Google's partner policies at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
What is not done
No analytics, no profiling of how you play, no cookies beyond the language one, no sale of data. This website carries no advertising at all. In the iOS app the only third party is Google AdMob, described above, and there is still no account for anything to be attached to.
Legal bases
Online play is processed to perform the service you asked for. Connection data is processed on the basis of a legitimate interest in the security and availability of the service. Personalised advertising in the iOS app happens only with your consent, which you give or refuse as described above and can withdraw at any time.
How long anything is kept
What is stored on your device stays until you delete it or uninstall the app. An online room, with the names and the game inside it, is deleted automatically thirty minutes after the last player leaves.
Where data goes
Cloudflare's network is global, so a connection may be served from outside the European Union. Those transfers rely on the safeguards Cloudflare provides, including the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. Google, for the adverts in the iOS app, relies on the safeguards described in its own privacy policy.
Your rights
Data protection law gives you the right to access, correct and delete your personal data, to object to its processing, and to complain to your supervisory authority (in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali). Since nothing is kept once a room closes, most requests are answered by that alone; write to the address below for anything else.
Children
The game is not intended for children under 13. It asks for no personal information beyond a display name, which should not be a real name for a young player.
The iOS app
The iOS app contains the same game and asks for no system permissions: no contacts, no location, no camera, no notifications. It asks once whether it may track you, which is the advertising question described above.
Changes
This policy will be updated before the game starts doing anything different with data. The date at the top says when it last changed.
